what is free pile?
Free Pile Productions is a multimedia art collective in the Connecticut River Valley, Massachusetts. We work together to create DIY performance art that smashes together each of our skills in writing, acting, instrumentalism, painting, drawing, puppetry, production, clowning, stagecraft, and assemblage. We’re playing off each other to create joyful and accessible performances for everyone; art out of nothing.

FREE PILE AT THE BRICK HOUSE 7/26 7:30pm
Join us for the second official Free PIle performance on July 26th! The crew has a brand-new extremely normal puppet show to share with no bizarre twists or freaky vibes whatsoever. Despite any signs to the contrary, be assured that we are presenting a conventional, single-medium narrative featuring professional-grade puppets crafted by master fabricators. There will be no music, no silliness, no dancing, and nothing out of the ordinary. Be sure to dress modestly and be prepared to ponder the nature of art as we lead you through a restrained and melancholy story about our protagonist Mr. Free Pile, a normal guy doing normal things.
